When I was human 12

As I was leaving the limits

Of my safety

I was discovering worlds

That, of course, were waiting

To be discovered,

Already there,

Always there;

I was just passing

They were staying

Into their own corners

Of the world;

As I was leaving,

They were receiving

More and more

Travelers

That were creating adventures

For themselves,

Just like I was;

I was discovering we were all stories

Waiting to be told.

Sunsets over the world.

When I was human 11

As I was seeing colors on my way
I was also leaving layers
Of who I could have been
Had I chosen differently
To live
To breathe
To walk
To run
To love
To come
To leave;
I was looking into the distance
Of a small box
That could become bigger
As I was taking steps toward my being
That was shy in showing itself,
That couldn’t wait to show itself,
I was gathering moments and
Selling feelings
To the soul.

When I was human 9

Behind smiles

There are eyes who cried

Enough tears

To understand

The power

Of simply living

Without too much fuss,

Simply in silence,

Enjoying moments

That are to be shared,

That are to be kept for oneself,

Things you can talk about,

Things you can’t,

Life is to be lived

Little by little

And then, maybe,

Sometimes in a faster rhythm

Of ups and downs,

Of happiness,

Of sadness;

As I go

Others come;

As I come,

Others go.

When I was human 8

Who knew could tell

I was here, and

Wasn’t;

Who knew could say

Where I went

Through dimensions

Taking up space

In the same place,

Yet different;

I was here,

I was there,

I was nowhere,

I was everywhere;

I disappeared only

To come back again,

With the same shape,

Yet different;

With the same name,

But slightly changed;

With the same aura,

Yet my atoms were shape-shifters

Into macro and then micro

Universes

Of being

Together

Alone.
